Independent snow and weather reporting from the Shiga Kogen region of Nagano

New snowfall at base 1cm
Snowfall at base this season 860cm

Posted on Wednesday 9th April 2025 This is an archived report. The latest Shiga Kogen Now report can be found here.

Hello from Shiga Kogen.

It is actually snowing this morning. The road outside here in Hasuike is damp rather than covered with snow but there has been a slight layer.

Forecasts seem to show some sun later on, so this is not expected to last long into today.

And then we have a mix of rain (perhaps snow) at times across the next few days.

No major spring warm up yet!
