The latest Naeba Now report can be found here . We are blessed with snowy (but relatively mild still) morning, bringing us 9cm of fresh powder so far. Snowfall is expected to continue all day and night, with promising accumulations by tomorrow morning. There’s a very light wind at the base, though it may strengthen slightly later. Visibility is fair at the base but poor at the summit. No official word at the moment regarding that top lift, other than the avalanche risk message. A sunny, partly cloudy morning has turned into heavy snowfall, and we’re reporting 2 cm of fresh snow - and it’s still coming down. It might not last much beyond this afternoon (or this morning maybe, depending on what forecast you look at). There’s a mild wind at the base, and the temperature remains just slightly below zero. The latest Naeba Now report can be found here . Good morning from a snowy Naeba. We’ve received another 14 cm of fresh snow, and it’s still coming down. The skies are cloudy with fair visibility, and there’s no wind at the base. It looks like Prince Hotel plans to open Gondola 1 today. Meanwhile, the line for Gondola 2 is growing, and it seems like some soft, enjoyable turns are waiting up there. Fingers crossed. It will be a busy weekend as Monday is a national holiday. The latest Naeba Now report can be found here . Morning from Naeba. The wind is blowing around quite strongly at times this morning and it feels cold. Fresh snowfall from yesterday is 15cm. Visibility on the slopes in front of the hotel is no problem, but poorer higher up. The Tashiro area of Kagura is closed today due to strong winds and so the Dragondola lift not operating. Wrap up well and enjoy. It is a 3-day busy weekend ahead of us and we might get to see some sunshine at times. Forecasts are varied! It's still snowing, and the wind in the summit area is strong and the visibility is a little poor at times but as this report is being written there is a bit of sun showing through. The latest Naeba Now report can be found here . Greetings from Naeba. It is a busy morning here, as you would expect at New Year. 4cm of snow to report since yesterday. It is a cloudy morning but visibility is pretty good on lower slopes. No much wind. It's keeping fairly cold, if not mid-winter very cold. Operations remain as they have been. It's unclear when that top lift might be able to (re)-open. Looking ahead a bit, we may get clearer skies tomorrow. Chance of some of that tomorrow, too, according to some forecasts. The next potentially heavy snow will probably be with us around Tuesday/Wednesday.
