Independent snow and weather reporting from the Naeba region of Niigata

New snowfall at base 4cm
Snowfall at base this season 1100cm

Posted on Monday 17th March 2025 This is an archived report. The latest Naeba Now report can be found here.

Good morning from Naeba.

Yesterday's snow forecast turned out to be heavy rain all day, but luckily, it changed to snow overnight, giving us another 4cm of fresh, wet snow.

It's cloudy with the sun shining through, and there's a slight breeze at the bottom. Visibility is good, and with no crowds, it's a great day to carve some turns!

The Tashiro Area of Kagura is closed today due to wind and so the Dragondola is closed.

We are expecting more snow between now and Wednesday.
