Independent snow and weather reporting from the Naeba region of Niigata

New snowfall at base 9cm
Snowfall at base this season 1048cm

Posted on Monday 3rd March 2025 This is an archived report. The latest Naeba Now report can be found here.

Good morning from Naeba.

After a few sunny days, the snow is back! We got 9 cm overnight, and it's still coming down. Winter might stick around until the weekend, possibly bringing some fresh snow each day - we’ll see!

It’s cloudy with a bit of wind. Visibility is fair at the bottom but poor up top. The new snowfall isn’t thick enough yet, so black runs remain firm.

Gondola 2 and Dragondola are both running, with only the top lift still closed.

Hopefully, the snow keeps accumulating and brings some soft turns tomorrow. Fingers crossed!
