The latest Furano Now report can be found here . Furano is in the midst of an extreme snow storm at the moment. Extremely strong winds are blowing around base area and it is snowing heavily. The snow is coming in sideways and visibility is limited even around the village. It is a mild -3c and the high will go to +2c. The forecast is for snow to continue through the day. 42cm of new snow has accumulated noting that this is strongly wind affected and will be more and less in places. The resort has not put out a report of lift operation at the time of writing this report. The latest Furano Now report can be found here . It is another windy start to the day with strong gusts around town. The resort has suspended the operation of Kitanomine Gondola due to the wind. The forecast is for high cloud, and at the moment it is partly cloudy with clear conditions. Expect some wind blown powder in places, and firm piste in areas that are exposed to the wind. Wind speed 5m/s at base and 20m/s near the top. The latest Furano Now report can be found here . The snow storm of yesterday has passed and this morning is very calm with no breeze detectable around the base area. The weather is clear sky and the peak of the resort is lighting up orange in the sun. The morning is forecast to stay clear with cloud starting to come in from around noon. Clear sky usually means cold temperature in Furano, and today is no exception. -16c at base with a high of -8c. 15cm new snow delivered in yesterdays blustery weather. The latest Furano Now report can be found here . It is a nice start to the day with the sun rising and plenty of clear sky over the resort. The forecast is for high cloud during the day. There are a few flakes of snow coming down but nothing significant is expected today. Overnight there has been a 3cm dusting. It is a cold start at -14c but no wind. The high will be -3c. On mountain trails will be soft groomed powder, with plenty of good natural powder off trail. Cloud is sitting on the mountain itself and visibility is limited at certain times and places. Plenty of fresh snow today with great powder conditions on and off trail with 18cm of fresh at base level. It has continued to snow throughout the day and currently heavy snow is accumulating quickly.
