It has been snowing heavily overnight in Furano with a moderate wind. There is 27cm of new snow at base level. In the last 20 minutes the snow precipitation has lightened and the wind reduced a bit. Currently visibility is limited on the mountain due to snow and low cloud. The forecast shows the snow may stop soon and leave a reasonably good day. The temperature is -7c and the day high will be -4c.
