The latest Madarao Now report can be found here . It is still snowing in Madarao. Another 10cm centimeters or so fell overnight to keep topping up the powder bank with the resort reporting 20cm of freshies this morning. It isn't as deep as the previous few days but there is still plenty of fun to be had. Today there is also an event at Madarao. Powder Wave Sessions starts at 11am and involves a lot of professional and semi-professionals skiers bashing there way through a narrow tree course. Should be good to watch. The weather is tipped to clear up later, but it is still snowy and overcast here at the moment. Powder Wave I is back open again from today. The snow is in excellent condition. All is good. We can expect less snow over the next few days. There's even some on the local forecast for today, so conditions here might well change quickly, but clearer skies generally with us over the next few days. The latest Madarao Now report can be found here . This reminds me of that crazy period we had last season. Madarao Kogen reporting 50-60cm of new snowfall this morning. Over half a meter! It's very cold too and windy, and with the snow coming down in style still at the moment it's pretty wild out there. Some lifts seem to be not moving yet this morning, no doubt the resort people are trying to uncover them from under all the new snow. But hopefully it will be open as planned soon though those winds may well affect things today. After today we are expecting clearer conditions. Might even be sunny as soon as tomorrow. Will definitely be excellent conditions! But good news at Madarao this morning with 30cm of fresh snow to report. Lighter than the kind we got yesterday as well. Strong winds and poor visibility though today and top lifts might be affected. Well, new snow we have though perhaps not as much as we were thinking.... about 5cm of snowfall fallen since early this morning, but it is continuing to snowing now. Not crazy cold either, with the thermometer hanging around 0C at the moment, so hopefully it will drop later on and we can get a good amount of new snow during the day today and this evening. To summarise: it is blinking cold in the morning but will warm up quickly to a fine day. No new snow, but lots of fun in the sun to be had. The only difference from yesterday is the forecast for tomorrow. More snow is forecast for tomorrow so if you have the day off, it may be worth a trip up as there is a good chance of a big powder day tomorrow. But that's tomorrow. No new snow fell overnight, leaving some well groomed slopes just perfect for burning top to bottom runs. There is no snow on the horizon at present, but very good conditions none the less. The latest Madarao Now report can be found here . Add another 20cm or so the what we got yesterday, and the resort are saying up to 30cm of new snowfall on the slopes. Yes, some lovely new snow has been deposited on the slopes of Madarao, making for some very likely nice conditions this morning that I'm keen to check out. Another cold morning, minus seven degrees and that snow continuing to fall. Clearer conditions are likely tomorrow and Sunday so it has the makings for a good weekend. Fireworks tomorrow night which should be fun.
