The snow really hit Furano hard yesterday, blanketing the whole town in anywhere from 10 to 20cm in the heavier snow bands. There are still a few flurries lingering around out there, but all the nasty winter weather subsided overnight, leaving in its a wake a frigid air mass that saw overnight lows plummeting towards the -20C mark.
There are a few breaks in the cloud, and things have warmed up significantly from this morning. It's currently -6 with light winds out of the North/Northeast, but nothing too harsh hitting you in the face on those windward runs. Weather-wise, today is shaping up to be a nice and quiet Sunday, but it's almost nice to have a break after all the snow that fell yesterday.
