The latest Furano Now report can be found here . Looking up at Kitanomine the grassy areas have been coated in white this morning. It is currently snowing/sleeting in the village and there has been 2cm of snow accumulated on gardens. The amount of fresh snow should be significant on the ski runs at the top of the resort. The snow is expected to continue through until tomorrow evening. There is fog on the mountain that extends to just above base level so visibility will be fair at best. A light wind is blowing but will pick up later in the morning. The cool temperatures have brought a light dusting of 2cm of fresh snow. The wind is moderate and gusting on and off. Winds will reduce tonight but be back again by tomorrow morning. The latest Furano Now report can be found here . Looking out of the window this morning the vista was back to winter, rather than spring, with the village coated in a blanket of white. There is 3cm of new snow that has accumulated, but even though temperatures are negative the snow is wet and heavy. i would expect it to be lighter higher up on the ski area. It is light overcast conditions right now with good visibility, except right at the top of the mountain where there is some cloud lingering on the peak and rolling down a little. With mostly cloudy sky the sun will be partially blocked so the snow shouldn't soften and go slushy too much in the morning. And even better news lies ahead...heavy snow forecast tonight! The latest Furano Now report can be found here . There was some new snow on the ground this morning. Earlier on clouds were close to the top of the resort, but they have moved higher and have broken up, and it is now mostly clear sky with sunshine. There is a light breeze coming and going. Warm temperatures mean the mountain is spring snow conditions from top to bottom. At the moment the snow is just slightly soft and not slushy, so the skiing is very good. The latest Furano Now report can be found here . Good news on the snow front with moderate precipitation and 4cm accumulation on the ground in the village. Conditions are low cloud this morning and this is causing variable visibility on the mountain when combined with the snow. Temperatures are mild but it sure feels cold due to the moderate wind whipping around the village. The latest Furano Now report can be found here . March is turning out to be good for snow with a further 5cm of fresh to report. It has been snowing all morning, although it has eased off to snow flurries in the village at the moment. It is an overcast day but still quite bright with strong sunlight breaking through. Wind around the base is light, but is gusting to moderate at times. The latest Furano Now report can be found here . This is the fifth consecutive day of snow, and this morning there is 9cm of accumulation in the village. Pleasingly it is light dry powder, so it will be a good day on the slopes with all main runs being groomed powder. Sky conditions are broken cloud with large patches of blue sky and sunshine, and little in the way of wind. Tomorrow looks like it will be overcast but the snow is forecast to continue.
