At base level the winds are very strong and this has meant the resort will not operate the Kitanomine Gondola.
It is snowing lightly and sideways due to the wind. There is 2cm of accumulation on the ground. Snow is expected to continue through the day.
It is -5c now, but will warm to +1c and that snow may turn into rain for a brief spell around midday.
