Warm overnight too and now around 12C at 9am, but it won't warm up as much as yesterday. Just cloudy to start with today here, though rain is likely especially this morning. The forecast says stronger winds later on as well, but for now it's fairly calm in town and by the looks of things on the mountain too.

Very busy up at Kagura today. I did not go myself but hearing stories of some long waits for lifts, especially the Tashiro Ropeway which was running slower than normal due to strong winds. The resort themselves are saying that there was at times a 2 hour wait for the Ropeway!

Unsettled weather conditions yesterday. Rain at times, heavy at times; windy at times, strong at times; clearing up and sunny at times. It was all over the place.

It's pretty wild conditions this morning in Yuzawa. Here in town it's heavy rain and a fairly strong wind blowing about and making noises as well. Not very nice. BUT, it looks like it is actually snowing higher up. Higher up is the place to be if you are out and about that's for sure...

It is a cloudy but bright morning in Yuzawa after another very mild (warm?) evening when temperatures didn't drop much under 10 degrees. It's around 13 degrees now here in town, though that is actually forecast to be the highest for the day as it should be clouding over soon and rain likely. Unfortunately that rain might well continue into tomorrow.

Strong winds yesterday did happen but it is calmer this morning - and GALA Yuzawa is back open today.

It was a quite warm day yesterday and overnight too, not dipping much below 10 degreees. It will be a little warmer today with a high of around 18 degrees.

A bit warmer this morning and the sun has been out, it's about 9 degrees as of 9am and a high temperature of 16 degrees is likely early afternoon. The forecast is for cloudy conditions later on and into tomorrow, perhaps some rain tomorrow night.

I am hearing some very positive reports from people who went up to Kagura over the weekend. Apparently there was quite a bit more than the original 10cm that was reported.

Well, when they said there was a chance of snow overnight into Sunday, we were sceptical. Especially when it was raining in the evening yesterday, though it was fairly cold still.

Quick early report - cloudy start to the day in Yuzawa but rain is due later and we are being told that there's a chance of snow overnight ---- perhaps even down to town. I will let you know about that in tomorrow's report.

The day has started with rain this morning, it's a wet one. I hear possibly sleet higher up, but here in town... rain. Hopefully it will clear up this morning though leaving us with just cloudy conditions. Not as warm this morning and a moderate wind.

A bright morning in Yuzawa, but a sea of low cloud over Minamiuonuma to the north this morning. Cloud is actually forecast for the day today though with a high temperature of around 20 degrees later on.

Today has started off sunny, though the forecast is telling us to expect clouds to move in as we get into the afternoon and the day might well end up being quite dull.
