Well, when they said there was a chance of snow overnight into Sunday, we were sceptical. Especially when it was raining in the evening yesterday, though it was fairly cold still.
But the forecast was right! There is still a few cm of snow outside here down at town level as I post this just before noon. Yes, snow down to town. Kagura resort this morning were reporting 10cm of fresh snow.
Quite cold too this morning as you'd expect.
It's a bit wet at the moment with sleet falling on and off and indeed it might well turn into rain this afternoon. With sun due tomorrow, I wouldn't expect this snow to last for long.
Still, great to see snow here at such a late day. I think it's a good bet that this will be the last of the season, at town level at least.
