It's keeping fairly cold out and there's still some of that snow that fell in places around town today.

I am hearing some very positive reports from people who went up to Kagura over the weekend. Apparently there was quite a bit more than the original 10cm that was reported. Some people saying as much as 30cm of fresh in places, though I'm not sure if they were just getting a bit carried away there! The resort came back and said 20cm. They were delighted to have timed it right to get some fresh snow conditions and by all accounts it was really good up there --- certainly considering it's the second half of April. That's what we like to hear!

Some rain earlier on this morning, but it at lunchtime now the sun is out and there is more blue sky on show as well as a fair bit of cloud hanging on. It is about 9 degrees now in Yuzawa.

Tomorrow is going to warm up a fair bit with a high temperature of around 17 degrees forecast for the town areas, so that should get rid of the remaining snow on the lower slopes.
