Good morning from Yuzawa where the day starts off just cloudy, and that is what the forecast is for much of the day really with a high of around 4C expected.

Yesterday ended up being a very hazy and sunny/bright day in the region and temperatures rose to around 8-9C degrees here in town.

Yesterday it was great to see a return to a proper winter-like day and that good-to-great new layer of snow on the ground which really gave the resorts a good refresh.

This morning Kagura are reporting an impressive 40-50cm of fresh snow since yesterday and Maiko Snow Resort are reporting 30+cm on their slopes.

Yesterday started off with those clear blue skies but by late morning mostly thin cloud had covered lots of the sky and it was even snowing lightly in a few higher areas.

It's one of those days when you really want to get out for first tracks.

Morning from Yuzawa and I'm happy to report that there's some more fresh snow to report.

It started raining yesterday evening and was still raining last time I was outside at 10:30am, but the very good news is that this morning we have woken to some fresh snow on the ground.

Snow started falling yesterday morning.

Back to snow.

Yesterday we got more snow falling for lots of the day and this morning I have measured a further 22cm to add to what we got yesterday.

It's a very good morning from Yuzawa, where it has been snowing like how we expect it to snow here.

Yesterday the snow was on and off for most of the day until mid afternoon - and actually falling quite heavily at some times, I'm happy to report so I imagine a fairly decent amount fell especially in higher areas.
