We had some more snow during the day yesterday.

Good morning from Nozawa, and a good one it is too. Snow has arrived.

Not a whole lot more to report since yesterday as the snow eased off and this morning there's clear skies above our mountain.

Well, we have had snow. Not as much as we'd like but there's snow on the ground down to base.

We have a little fresh snow this morning. 10cm is being reported by the ski area itself and there's a few down at base.

I bring good news this Sunday morning.

Today was the planned first day of the season and of course that was delayed.

It's November, which means that I am able to say... Nozawa Onsen plans to open later this month!

Hello and good morning from Nozawa Onsen on this last day of the 2020-2021 season - Sunday 9th May 2021.

It's still sunny and a warm early morning, and once again temperatures will be getting quite close to 20C down in the village.

And what do you know!? There's a thin covering of snow right down to lower levels this morning. Enough to even give Kawasawa and Nagasaka areas that speckled look.

The sun is out this morning. It's a fine spring morning.

A cloudy and overcast morning. But today, again, sun and blue skies are probable.

Lifts I believe got moving yesterday and this morning things are altogether more calm.
