Independent snow and weather reporting from the Nozawa Onsen region of Nagano

New snowfall at base 3cm
Snowfall at base this season 22cm

Posted on Monday 13th December 2021 This is an archived report. The latest Nozawa Now report can be found here.

Well, we have had snow. Not as much as we'd like but there's snow on the ground down to base. The ski area is reporting 5cm on the upper areas, though I'd guess there's more than that. Whatever.

Anyway it should be snowing today but easing off so I doubt we can expect much more. Beyond today there's a few more days of that clearer kind of weather (it shouldn't be quite as warm as it has been) with cold and snow due back on Friday. That looks quite promising.
