We have more fresh snow! I have another 15cm to record this morning. It's cold out there and the snow is light and fluffy.

Light (to moderate at times) snow as I put the report together this morning, with 18cm of it to report since yesterday.

I am happy to report that it is snowing again and noticeably colder (though we might get some spells of sunshine during the day, apparently).

It's 1st December and the first day of the 2024-2025 season for four ski areas on the mountain - Hirafu, Village, Annupuri and Moiwa.

I am happy to be able to report a fairly decent (if not massive) layer of snowfall this morning. I have measured 14cm since my last report.

That modestly modest snowfall yesterday morning at the time of my report didn't last long.

I am happy to report that it has started snowing.

We had some periods of sunshine yesterday, with periods of light snow and less clear at times too.

I have some fine news to report this morning.

It is clearly colder this morning and there has been some slight snowfall down to base so far.

We have had a few days of warmer weather since my last report.

Well, I am happy to report that we did actually get a little more snow since I reported yesterday morning. Nice.

This morning I have the first snowfall of the season to report from base level. Hurray! I think some celebratory toast is most definitely called for.

I don't have much to report regarding the weather, but I thought I'd just post a few more pre-season thoughts.
