It is snowing, but difficult to make a decision apparently and Madarao Kogen have said that they will decide whether they can open tomorrow morning at around 7am.

Good morning as we fast approach the planned opening date of the season for the Madarao Kogen and Tangram Ski Circus resorts.

Madarao Kogen is planning to open on Friday 18th December, so we are now just over 2 weeks away from opening.

Here we are at the end of another ski and snowboard season at Madarao Kogen, and today has been another fine day to finish things up.

And... more of the same today.

Light snow has stopped at the moment and there's even some blue sky to be seen through the clouds that remain over the area (and there's quite a few of those).

A funny old mix of light snow and some patches of blue sky as I sit here writing this report, but most importantly up to 10cm of fresh since yesterday.

Light snow this morning and the resort reporting 2cm; 1cm here outside my place.

Lots of fog around this morning. I think I'm still in Madarao Kogen, but can't see anything outside for the moment.

We have some fresh snow on the ground and it's a good cold start.

Looks like we don't have to wait until Sunday for clearer skies....

Winter conditions continue this morning with another 15cm being reported by the resort and at least that much at base around my place since yesterday morning.

Good morning from Madarao, where the resort were last night saying that there had been 20cm of snowfall, and this morning apparently another 20cm 'since last night'.
