Madarao Kogen is planning to open on Friday 18th December, so we are now just over 2 weeks away from opening.
We have had bunch of varying conditions since my last report, though the generally mild start to winter has continued and currently there's just a dusting of snow on the top of the mountain.
There's not as much snow yet as we would have hoped for and some of the resorts that plan to open in late November have been unable to do so.
So the whole region is ready and waiting for the snow to arrive in style. Tonight and tomorrow may see the mountain turn white once again.
