Here we are at the end of another ski and snowboard season at Madarao Kogen, and today has been another fine day to finish things up.

It has been a good season for snowfall and the statistics clearly show that with 1055cm observed at base compared with 734cm the previous season. The statistics can be found near the bottom of this page and they make for interesting reading.

I quite like the way Madarao Kogen finishes at the end of March - doesn't stretch things out and possibly even overstay it's welcome with ever deteriorating conditions. Rather, Madarao chooses to go out on a sort of high note with pretty much everything open right up until the end. Good on them.

Having said that it's always sad of course and we want more.

Remember, Madarao is a very nice place to visit out of the snow season too - I recommend coming and checking it out and escaping the heat of down below!
