Hello on this middle day of the long weekend here in Japan.

A bit of heavy (omoi) snow up higher yesterday, but it was raining in the village and at lower levels unfortunately with very mild conditions and strong winds.

Around 10cm of fresh snow being reported from around the resorts this morning in Hakuba.

Cold day yesterday with spells of sunshine but lots of cloud remaining over the region.

We're enjoying continued fresh snow conditions here at the moment and it's expected to continue more at least for the rest of today and perhaps easing off tomorrow.

Some varying reports on snowfall this morning from around the valley and it looks like Hakuba 47 are reporting the most.

Snow falling and generally poor visibility out on the mountains yesterday, though not a huge amount in terms of cm.

It was a beautiful day yesterday in the area, but this morning I have new snow to report from Hakuba -

It looks like we're going to get some great views in today.

The snow clouds remain over Hakuba this morning.

Don't like using the word wet, but we have just a thin bit of wet snow on the ground this morning in places - though it's better than just rain I suppose.
