Independent snow and weather reporting from the Hakuba region of Nagano

New snowfall at base 10cm
Snowfall at base this season 253cm

Posted on Monday 29th December 2014 This is an archived report. The latest Hakuba Now report can be found here.

It was a beautiful day yesterday in the area, but this morning I have new snow to report from Hakuba - around 10cm on lower areas and a bit more higher up with Hakuba 47 and Hakuba Cortina both reporting up to 20cm.

With hardly any wind at all, it actually doesn't feel that cold this morning and we are forecast to have a high of around 3 degrees this afternoon. Hopefully we won't get any rain - for now it's snowing.

Heavier snowfall is forecast as we click into 2015 around Wednesday into Thursday.
