Some wild weather conditions yesterday and lots of variation too. After the storm, rain, wind, fog and cloud, we ended the say with lots of blue sky above Hakuba village and the sun making a late appearance.

We have had a bit of rain this morning in Hakuba, both in village and up on the mountain apparently. It's a bit of a mixed bag already today actually as now the rain has eased off, the sun is out and there's quite a lot of blue sky.

Light snow falling on and off yesterday on the mountain, with variable visibility as clouds moved in and out of the area and over the slopes.

So yesterday we started off with those lovely blue skies. As often happens some thin clouds started to form early afternoon and we ended up with overcast skies by the time the lifts had closed for the day.

So yesterday we had that lovely bluebird start to the day.

Conditions were rather... blustery... out on the mountain yesterday. Happo was largely closed for lots of the day and other places were limited due to the windy conditions.

Snow and more snow. And wind. It continues to snow. Since yesterday up to 50cm being reported (Cortina), with an average of up to 30cm around the village.

Well I said we were expecting more snow overnight and we sure got it. Yesterday was mostly cloudy and as evening approached the clouds came down lower and it was snowing.

Not much in terms of new snow to report from Hakuba this morning. Yesterday we got to see some sunlight shine down on the village in the afternoon.

New snow to report from Hakuba this morning. Yesterday by afternoon it was snowing and visibility up at Hakuba 47 where I boarding was pretty poor at times. Some nice big flakes coming down.

The light snow continued for much of yesterday but it didn't really do much to bring us any new cm to report this morning. The mountains for the most part remained shrouded in cloud.

It was snowing nicely yesterday morning and we got some more cm on the ground... by lunchtime Hakuba Cortina was reporting 5cm of additional snow and up to that around Hakuba I would say too.

A fine and calm day it was yesterday. The skies turned somewhat overcast from early afternoon but it stayed bright until evening arrived.

There is lots of snow to report from Hakuba this morning. It is a very cold, snowy and windy morning. At the moment it is -13 degrees on Usagidaira at 1400m, and there's a 7.6m/s wind blowing.
