Wow - another dusting of snow overnight has transformed the village back into a mid winter scene again, with gardens and trees blanketed in a thin layer of white that is contrasting with the greens of spring that are trying to come through.

It is a glorious spring day with warm weather, sunny with a few clouds mixed in with blue skies.

Skies were cloudy and cold overnight as an additional layer of 3-5cm of fresh snow blanketed the town.

It looks like winter again in Furano village with a fresh snowfall this morning that accumulated throughout the village.

There has been a dusting of new snow through the village in the early hours of the morning with little accumulation on the ground due to the warmer ground temperatures that are present.

Spring is continuing its slow advance into the Furano valley.

It was a fantastic weekend in Furano with fresh snow on both Saturday and Sunday.

Just after the lifts closed for the evening yesterday, the heavens opened up and just dumped about 10-15cm of the finest fresh powder we've seen in two weeks.

After a week of seemed like the return of Spring, the temperature turned south of the freezing mark and snow started to fall yesterday.

The snow continued off and on throughout the day and then started dumping bucket loads of sweet, white powder all over everything for hours on end last night.

And winter continues to trudge drearily along this late into the ski season.

It is the calm after the storm today. The weather is great and the slopes are in fantastic condition for March.

The weather man has delivered and we have 15cm+ of new snow at base level.

It's shaping up to be a beautiful day out there today, with plenty of sun making its way through those clouds, bringing along with it more then enough Spring-like temperatures.
