Great to see snow this morning and as planned it is enough to bring conditions back up a notch up there after it was getting heavy and sticky yesterday.

The forecast snow arrived yesterday and dumped a significant layer of snow over Furano in a very short time.

Light cloud is covering the upper part of the mountain but this is not interferring with visibility at the moment.

It is snowing lightly and the snow showers will continue over the next few days.

A perfect day out there with another 10cm overnight with more to come this afternoon.

The very cold temperatures continue with an extra layer definitely needed.

If you feel the winter chill when you step from the inside to outdoors you will not be alone.

The resort is surrounded by blue skies and temperatures are very cold with -12c at the top.

The forecast snow has arrived and looks like it has settled in for the rest of the week.

The consistent cold temperatures are delivering that famous Furano light dry powder and you can hear the squeaky sound of your shoes on the dry snow as you walk along the streets.

The weather was true to its word with falls right through to around 10pm last night. The powder was really light and dry so we had a great day on the slopes.

It is snowing heavily this morning and there is 7cm accumulation in the village.

With continuing snowfall, Furano Now is starting to wonder if it will ever stop snowing.

There has been at least 20cm of new snow fall in the village since yesterday and it is still forecast to snow through until Saturday morning.
