New snowfall at base 5cm
Snowfall at base this season 249cm
Posted on Wednesday 8th January 2014 This is an archived report. The latest Furano Now report can be found here.
The forecast snow has arrived and looks like it has settled in for the rest of the week. This will mean some great on piste powder skiing over the next few days with a continuous top up.
Visibility is good today and there is a light breeze, but the wind will increase slightly from tomorrow onwards. Temperatures are relatively mild being just below freezing at base level.
Overall it looks a great day to get out there and carve some tracks on a nice layer of fresh.
