The consistent cold temperatures are delivering that famous Furano light dry powder and you can hear the squeaky sound of your shoes on the dry snow as you walk along the streets. It is overcast today with snow falling lightly but no wind.
There won't be too much in the way of new snow today, but from tomorrow afternoon onwards there is another snow front coming through.
There won't also be so many skiers on the mountain as there were last week as the Japanese end of year holiday season has now ended.
