New snowfall at base 10cm
Snowfall at base this season 294cm
Posted on Thursday 23rd January 2014 This is an archived report. The latest Furano Now report can be found here.
The forecast snow arrived yesterday and dumped a significant layer of snow over Furano in a very short time. There was 10cm recorded in the village and significantly more on the mountain.
The day is looking picture perfect so far with the perfectly groomed slopes sparkling in the morning sun, and not a cloud in sight.
The new snow will mean the slick conditions of the last few days have disappeared and we are once again back to light powder conditions.
