Another Monday morning and actually this Monday morning marks the first day when all of the snow has completely melted away from the rice fields behind SnowJapan World Headquarters here in Minamiuonuma.

The sun is out again this morning from early on, it's nice and bright and it's going to warm up today.

And it is a fine start to the day here with the sun shining down. A chilly overnight and as of 6:30am it is around 2 degrees, with a high of about 10 degrees likely later on in the day.

An early report this morning. A dusting of snow up top it seems but nothing really down here in town and more like wet roads early on. The day is supposed to be a mix of sleet/rain, cloud, sun and then back to rain, sleet or snow... so take your pick.

Light snow falling higher up earlier on this morning but not the kind that will bring any cm - and none reported by Kagura - but always good to hear of snow falling.

It has been a fine day here in the Yuzawa and Minamiuonuma valleys with clear blue skies above. A moderate spring wind this afternoon, but not like over the weekend. Temperatures rose up to around 14 degrees.

So we are now down to three skijo open in the area - Kandatsu Kogen, GALA Yuzawa and Kagura. With Maiko planning to open this coming weekend, just for the weekend.

Today it has been raining on and off in Yuzawa. Didn't warm up so much, struggling to get up to double digits and now this evening it is around +6 degrees in town. More rain probable overnight with tomorrow forecast to be just cloudy and around similar temperatures as today.

As yesterday the day started off fine here today but now that we are into the afternoon the rain has started. Strong winds too as forecast and the conditions have affected resorts around town with Gala Yuzawa and Kagura closed and limitations elsewhere.... not the best of days by all accounts.

Fine weather to start the day off here, and it's going to be another warm one.... and more of the same tomorrow as well.

There's quite a lot of cloud around this morning but a definite improvement on yesterday. Actually this morning also started off with some light rain still around but that has cleared and it would seem that we are going to see the clear up continuing with sunny blue skies likely this afternoon over Yuzawa and the Minamiuonuma valley.

Well, it's not a very nice start to the day here! As forecast, rain and heavy rain as I write the report. All through the night too and it doesn't seem keen to give up anytime soon.... might be tomorrow morning before it stops.

The day has started off cloudy and some spots of rain falling, light at the moment but the forecast for the day seems to be cloud and temps to rise to around 12 degrees. There's a moderate wind blowing around early on - whether that will be enough to impact on some lifts, not sure.

It's a fine morning in Yuzawa. Lots of blue skies and just a few wispy kind of clouds hanging around. Should be a fine day.
