Niseko Now
Niseko Now: Thursday 12th February 2026
It was snowing earlier on this morning. Then we had a few patches of clearer skies. And it's back snowing again now.
Niseko Now: Wednesday 11th February 2026
Morning from Niseko. It's National Foundation Day.
Niseko Now: Tuesday 10th February 2026
The sun is out right now with a mix of cloud and blue sky. Still cold, but doesn't feel as cold this morning.
Niseko Now: Monday 9th February 2026
After that clearer start yesterday, this morning we have another cold and snowy start.
Niseko Now: Sunday 8th February 2026
Looking over to our east, the beautiful Mt. Yotei is looking particularly fetching this morning and wearing what looks like a flat-cap (cloud) as I write this. Very fashionable.
Niseko Now: Saturday 7th February 2026
It's cold out there this morning, with another layer of snow and - hopefully - there will be less wind today. It certainly doesn't feel as bad.
Niseko Now: Friday 6th February 2026
I was woken up by the sound of wind in the middle of the night. Very rude, I thought.
Niseko Now: Thursday 5th February 2026
There is no fresh snow to report and we have a bright and sunny kind of morning with some cloud.
Niseko Now: Wednesday 4th February 2026
A little new snowfall since yesterday and mid-morning we have cloud of the rather dark type in places and some blue sky to see in some directions too.
Niseko Now: Tuesday 3rd February 2026
We have a mixed bunch of weather going on again this morning.
Niseko Now: Monday 2nd February 2026
Another good delivery of fresh snow. Right now it is mostly cloudy with light snow falling in places but some hunt of blue sky in other areas (Annupuri).
Niseko Now: Sunday 1st February 2026
It's snowing nicely as I write this and we expect incoming snow today and tomorrow.
Niseko Now: Saturday 31st January 2026
Another bright morning here with quite a lot of cloud, with blue sky and some sunshine.
Niseko Now: Friday 30th January 2026
We did have a bit of snow falling yesterday afternoon, but it didn't amount to much of anything. Where I was, anyway. I can just about justify the 1cm in this report.
