The earlier snow has eased off and there's a bit of sunshine (sort of) now in places.

We had some mad blizzard conditions later in the day yesterday.

Yikes! There's a lot of people around seeking out the fresh snow.

The rain and lack of snow to report yesterday was, happily, just a blip!

Oh well, I suppose the consistent snow reporting every day had to come to an end sometime.

As of 8:30am I had measured another 13cm of snowfall since my previous report.

Our positive January snowfall news continues with a good fresh layer again over the last 24 hours, with more consistently lined up on the forecast for the coming week.

Yesterday we had spells of bright sunny skies but it was snowing again from around lunchtime and quite heavily at times.

The snow clouds remain with another 10cm or so since yesterday and it coming down moderately now at 8:30am.

A mix of cloud and some blue sky early this cold morning. In placed the sun is shining through.

I have 6cm of fresh snow to report this morning and it is snowing as I put this report together.

The big news is actually that top lifts are open this morning with peak gates scheduled to be open too. Hurray!

I am very pleased to report that the new year has continued to start really well.
