I have another nice layer of lovely snow to report to you on this cold morning. I measured slightly over 8cm of it.

It feels cold this morning and snow is coming down, with just a little to report since yesterday.

Wind was an issue yesterday and it affected lifts with only lower ones operating.

It is windy this morning, enough to almost certainly affect lift operations on the mountain.

It does not feel quite as cold this morning but we do expect a drop in temperatures later and over the next several days.

More lovely fresh snow to report this morning and there is a lot going on.

We have fresh snow again this morning with the promise of more over the next few days. Might get windy too, though it isn't just now.

I have slightly under 6cm of observed fresh snowfall to report to you this morning.

There was a powerful earthquake late last night off the eastern coast of Aomori. A reminder that these things happen without warning and are very scary.

It is snowing lightly at the moment after starting earlier on and leaving us with something of a dusting.

A light dusting in places this morning and it looks like it is snowing the higher up you go. Hirafu is reporting 5cm in upper areas.

We have a lot of cloud around this morning but some glimpses of blue sky in places too. Hopefully a fresh dose of snow will be with us from Monday.

All sorts going on at the moment now that snow has arrived, but the main thing is that all five of the ski areas on the mountain are now part open from this morning.
