Wow its going to be a pearler out there. Even the snow plougher for the hotels were out before 4:20am so they are super excited.

We have awoken to light snow falling which will mean a nice fresh layer on the slopes this morning.

Conditions started off warm this morning and temperatures have crept up further during the day.

The early morning light cloud has lifted to reveal an almost perfect day. The sun is already out and we have blue skies and no wind.

The day is looking like it will be a cracker with clear blue skies and a dusting over overnight snow.

The strong winds have passed us by for now and it has continued to snow lightly since yesterday.

There are strong winds blowing around the base area and these are forecast to continue throughout the day.

The winds are back and at the moment are blowing around the mountain with moderate force.

Well those winds tricked us yesterday and didn't lift as expected leaving us with the Gondola closed.

After being spoiled with a nice coating yesterday we don't have a great outlook for fresh snow during the day but with luck we will awake tomorrow with better news.

Good news and good news...there has been 10cm of light powder snow overnight and there is clear weather this morning.

The slopes are sparkling in the morning sun and it is looking like it will be a great day here in Furano - quite a contrast to the greyness of yesterday.

The winds over the weekend that made conditions feel exceptionally cold have gone now.

A snow front arrived late yesterday and is continuing to dump snow all over Furano.
