We might have finished Golden Week and be in the second week of May, but it still almost feels like the tail end of winter.
It is not generally warming up and a lot of changeable weather. And apparently it is actually snowing up in higher elevations early this morning!
The changeable weather seems likely to continue through into next week.
Just three ski areas in Shiga Kogen now remain 'part open' - Kumanoyu (though it seems to be closed today and tomorrow to re-open on Friday), Yokoteyama and Shibutoge.
