Greetings from Shiga Kogen.
Yesterday was cold. It started off wet and then we did actually get some snow! Up to 5cm or so in places. Always great to see snow.
The skies have parted and this morning starts off fairly chilly with blue skies. It will gradually start to get warmer again and we should have fine weather into the weekend.
The section of Route 292 between Shiga Kogen and Kusatsu in Gunma Prefecture is scheduled to re-open at 10:00am on 24th April.
Ski area planned closing dates
Below are the planned closing dates of ski areas in Shiga Kogen. In the late season, ski areas often scale back operations and/or may be closed on weekdays or on certain days. All the dates below are the planned dates and they are subject to change due to snow conditions.
Plans to be open until 6th May:
