It is a cloudy/overcast kind of start to this Thursday morning, with the ski area reporting some light snow at Yamabiko.
Yesterday the ski area was reporting another 20cm or so on upper areas of the mountain, with another 7cm this morning. A more modest showing down around base areas.
Good snowfall forecast for later today/tonight in particular and into tomorrow.
Monday 13th January is the Coming of Age Day national holiday in Japan, so we have a 3-day weekend ahead of us... typically one of the busiest of the season. Right now, sunshine is forecast for Saturday.
