Greetings from Nozawa.
Just slightly over 10cm of fresh to report this morning. I was expecting more, perhaps in part egged on by all the 'crazy snowfall' reports that were on the Japanese national news last night. It does seem like some regions have been well and truly dumped on. Just not so much here.
It's snowing still and a cold morning. Limited visibility on the top area.
Long weekend ahead, with Monday being a national holiday. The ski area will probably be very busy. Night skiing tomorrow (as usual) and also on Sunday night.
Weather for the weekend? Well, should be generally calm with a mix of cloud, light snow and clearer sunny periods. Timing of those things... unknown!
Some more snow today/overnight should make for a very fine start to the weekend.
