Right, here we go. It's time for a refresh!
Check out the snowfall numbers reported by the ski area this morning (below): a curious range of 15-38cm around lower areas and 20-21cm in higher elevations. Interesting, for sure!
My measurement for the morning is... 27cm and that is almost the same as the 26 reported by JMA (Japan Meteorological Agency), which, by the way, is quite close to Karasawa.
All that snow has all come overnight and a lot of it in the several hours before leading up to opening.
It is snowing lightly as of 8:45am and about -2C.
So, there should be some nice fresh untouched snow out there this morning. Forecasts tempt us with tales of more snow coming over the next few days, possibly heavy at times.
Sounds like conditions by the weekend should be tip-top once again!
Naski will be pleased.
