Independent snow and weather reporting from the Nozawa Onsen region of Nagano
New snowfall at base 1cm
Snowfall at base this season 314cm
Posted on Sunday 5th January 2025 This is an archived report. The latest Nozawa Now report can be found here.
Snow from yesterday didn't really amount to much more than dustings, with the ski area reporting 3cm on upper slopes.
This morning we have sunshine and blue sky, but we also can see a lot of cloud around the region. It is a fine morning to be out on the slopes enjoying the snow.
Tomorrow is set to be somewhat milder. Unfortunately, we might get rained on later in the day. Annoying, but not to worry too much as it should be snowing by the following morning and much colder. (And it will probably just start as snow at higher elevations).
