Good morning from Nozawa and it is snowing - as it should be!
Coming down nicely just now and so hopefully we'll be able to get a decent amount of snow through today and into tomorrow... just a thin layer down below just now and 5cm being reported up top by the resort.
Clouds are expected to be clearing by tomorrow morning and perhaps some sunshine over the weekend. Let's hope it keeps cold. After that, forecast has the next snow lined up around Monday.
Monday 9th January is a national holiday in Japan and for the long weekend (Saturday through Monday) the lifts will be opening 30 minutes earlier than usual - base lifts at 8am and gondolas from 8:10am.
