Independent snow and weather reporting from the Nozawa Onsen region of Nagano

New snowfall at base 2cm
Snowfall at base this season 10cm

Posted on Saturday 5th December 2015 This is an archived report. The latest Nozawa Now report can be found here.

Morning and not a whole lot to report really. Not much was added to what we got yesterday and this morning it is cloudy here in Nozawa. There was even a bit of sun peeking through the clouds before though back to just cloud now. It's not particularly cold and a high of about 6 degrees is expected in the village later.

So as you might expect from that, there is not enough snow to open yet.

I almost don't want to report it but there's not much sign of snow on the weekly forecast either I'm afraid, with clearer skies expected Monday through until around Thursday, so it seems that we are going to need to be more patient for a while longer.

Official snow depths:

Uenotaira - 10cm

Hikage - 0cm
