Independent snow and weather reporting from the Nozawa Onsen region of Nagano

New snowfall at base 15cm
Snowfall at base this season 25cm

Posted on Friday 18th December 2015 This is an archived report. The latest Nozawa Now report can be found here.

There was some talk of a possible opening today with the snow that we got during the day yesterday, but the resort have decided there's not quite enough yet to get things started.

Apparently 25cm of snowfall up top and a good 10-15cm on lower areas as well.

It seems like the skies are clearing up this morning and there may even be some sun in store for us today but a return to snow overnight tonight is possible.

Please bring us some more so the resort folk can get some lifts moving!

I will report on the latest tomorrow morning.
