Independent snow and weather reporting from the Nozawa Onsen region of Nagano
New snowfall at base 2cm
Snowfall at base this season 183cm
Posted on Tuesday 4th February 2020 This is an archived report. The latest Nozawa Now report can be found here.
It's snowing again and as of 8:30am the resort is reporting 3-5cm across the mountain. The forecast shows clearer skies due later on in the day today so we probably can't expect it to continue for too long. (Actually even now there seems to be some possibly breaks in the cloud down by base).
But! The snow clouds are due back with us from tomorrow, and they may well be bringing with them a proper decent amount of snowfall over the region. It is going to be cold over the next few days too. Good proper winter like weather - yes, I like that a lot.
