New snowfall at base 23cm
Snowfall at base this season 453cm
Posted on Tuesday 27th February 2024 This is an archived report. The latest Nozawa Now report can be found here.
Greetings from a snowy Nozawa... as it should be!
By 3pm yesterday the ski area was reporting 7-9cm of fresh snow on the upper areas (though that included a few from earlier in the day) and this morning they are reporting 20cm-35cm of fresh snow across the mountain. That sounds like Nozawa, doesn't it?
It is a bit windy this morning but the ski area is open as planned, so you can get up top to enjoy those newly deep and fluffy conditions. I'm guessing it'll be cold up there, but it'll be worth it. :)
More snow due through today (just light at the moment), and then the chance of some sun before more snow coming in on Friday into Saturday. That all sounds good to me, especially if it remains cold.

Yamabiko: 35cm
