Hello and good morning from Nozawa.


Ah, some clearer weather!


We are due sunshine today along with some rather warm (hot?) temps, over 25C.


There is rain on the forecasts from Tuesday next week, but before then the first part of Golden Week should generally be fine and settled.


Monday is a national holiday.


Official snow depth numbers (reported by the ski area):

Yamabiko: 110cm

Uenotaira: 100cm

Lower areas: --


Planned closing date:

Nozawa Onsen plans to be open until Monday 6th May 2024

The following lifts are scheduled to be operating today:

Nagasaka Gondola

Yamabiko Four quad

Yamabiko Number 2 Four quad


Lift information:

All base areas are now closed and you need to get the gondola back down to base

The Nagasaka Gondola and the Yamabiko quad lifts are scheduled to be open daily until the end of the season

The Uenotaira and Paradise quad lifts are scheduled to be open 27th April through 6th May

The Skyline connecting pair is scheduled to be open 27th April through 6th May
