After that snow of yesterday - with 5-10cm more reported being by the resort from the upper areas by mid afternoon - we are going to be back to clearer weather conditions today. Sunshine and milder weather is expected and it is a fine start. More of the same due tomorrow as well.


Hold on, there's more snow due by next weekend. Looks like we are on for a good end to March.


(Feels a bit windy but hopefully that won't affect the resort from opening as normal. I have to get this report up early this morning as I need to get myself to Nagano city).


Fresh snowfall reported by the ski resort (since yesterday morning):

- Yamabiko (1407m): 5cm

- Uenotaira (1230m): 10cm

- Hikage (660m): -cm

- Nagasaka (615m): -cm

- Karasawa (563m): -cm


Official snow depth numbers (reported by resort):


- Yamabiko (1407m): 285cm

- Uenotaira (1230m): 220cm

- Hikage (660m): 95cm

- Nagasaka (615m): 85cm

- Karasawa (563m): 40cm


All lifts apart from the following should be operating:
