Independent snow and weather reporting from the Nozawa Onsen region of Nagano

New snowfall at base 10cm
Snowfall at base this season 955cm

Posted on Tuesday 25th February 2025 This is an archived report. The latest Nozawa Now report can be found here.

The long weekend clouds and snow have gone and we are enjoying a morning of bright blue skies and sunshine.

Yesterday the ski area was reporting 25-30cm of snow up top by mid afternoon, with some more overnight. About 10cm down at base.

Tomorrow should start fine, with some sleet/snow maybe later in the day. Hopefully that is not rain, but it sure could be. It won't last long, though, with clearer skies due again Thursday through the weekend.

Going to be mild, too.
