Good morning from Nozawa.


Well, we were expecting 'much clearer skies' today, but the morning starts with a lot of cloud around and a dusting-plus of snow.


Forecasts still tell us we will see the sun today, and soon, and tomorrow and Saturday too.


It will be warming up over the next few days but colder conditions are there on the forecast as we get into next week.


Fresh snowfall since yesterday afternoon as reported by the ski area:

Yamabiko: 1cm

Uenotaira: 5cm

Hikage: -cm

Nagasaka: 5cm

Karasawa: -cm


Official snow depth numbers (reported by the ski area):

Yamabiko: 410cm

Uenotaira: 360cm

Hikage: 295cm

Nagasaka: 280cm

Karasawa: 205cm

All scheduled lifts are operating as planned

The Utopia pair lift and Challenge pair lift are normally closed on weekdays
