It's snowing. Already 3-4cm on the ground. Lots more to come into tomorrow - looks like it is happening.


Just checking the calendar again and, yes, it is 20th March. Mad stuff!


Wind might be an issue in top areas today into tomorrow and it might affect lifts.


Today is a national holiday.


Fresh snowfall since yesterday morning (reported by the ski area at 7:10am):

Yamabiko: 3cm

Uenotaira: 3cm

Hikage: 2cm

Nagasaka: 2cm

Karasawa: 1cm


Official snow depth numbers (reported by the ski area):

Yamabiko: 235cm

Uenotaira: 200cm

Hikage: 75cm

Nagasaka: 75cm

Karasawa: 30cm


Spring season & planned closing date:

Cheaper spring season tickets will be available from Monday 1st April until the end of the season.

Nozawa Onsen ski area plans to open until Monday 6th May 2024 (subject to conditions).
