Independent snow and weather reporting from the Nozawa Onsen region of Nagano
New snowfall at base 44cm
Snowfall at base this season 681cm
Posted on Thursday 16th February 2023 This is an archived report. The latest Nozawa Now report can be found here.
There is still some light snow falling still, but it is due to ease off today with the chance of some sun later. No sign of that just yet and some early morning limited visibility on the top of the mountain.
The ski area has reported over 50cm snowfall since yesterday and there has been a lot down to base too.
It has certainly been a very good few days of snowfall and conditions should be top draw.
From tomorrow (maybe sooner), we will be getting some clearer weather to enjoy it all.
Lovely.
